The Boyd Memorial Campsite & Activity Centre is located on the border of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire in the small village of Henlow. We have around 12 acres of grounds which are made up from about 9 acres of grassland, 2 acres of woodland and the remainder set aside for the various activities that we offer.
The campsite was donated to the Biggleswade and District Scouts by Lord Boyd of Merton and was formerly part of his estate. Scouting and Lord Boyd had a long association. The local Scout troop met in The Grange, his large house, as far back as the 1930s.
The site is home and a safe haven to a great variety of birds, mammals and plants. Look out for Swans, Kingfishers, Herons, Muntjack Deer, Rabbits and Moorhens amongst others.
