Thirtover Place
Thirtover Place has a fully equipped holiday house to accommodate 30 people, together with three camp sites accommodating between 15 and 36 campers a site, a tented village, wooden cabin, toilet/shower facilities plus camp stores and shop, set in nine acres of beautiful West Berkshire countryside. A number of instructor and leader-led activities are available on-site. The site is used throughout the year by adult and youth members of Girlguiding, other charities and the local community.
The site is close to the towns of Thatcham and Newbury providing access to amenities and other off-site activities. We are easily accessible from J12 of the M4 and A34.
Huish Woods Scout Camp Site
Owned by Blackdown District Scout Council the site is set in 40 acres of mixed woodland on an eastern spur of the Blackdown Hills 5 miles south of Taunton. There is an 8.5 acre area known as the Beacon Field for camping.
Dudsbury Guide Camp
The property of fifteen acres comprises of one large field and a smaller one known as Annes Meadow and has two fully equipped heated buildings to provide indoor facilities for uniformed groups and occasional school/private hire.
Deer Park
All tents are pitched and ready for your arrival. The catering tent is fully equipped including a BBQ, gas oven, cool boxes, cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery, etc. The dining marquee is equipped with tables and benches to seat up to 28 people. There is access to toilet and shower facilities as well as fridge and freezer and drinking water tap.
Collard Bridge
Owned by North Devon District Scouts, the site consists of 21 acres of mixed woodland and meadow situated on the bank of the River Yeo. There are seven camping sites of varying sizes, all have taps with natural spring water and all are on level ground.
There are a mix of self-led and instructed activities that can be booked.
