Pinewood Scout Centre
Pinewood is a seven-acre site, located in mature woodland in the Shirley / Addiscombe hills, and is being reinstated as a premier activities and camping venue in SE England. This location is close to Croydon, Bromley and South East London and within 3 miles of Bears ?Wood Scout Campsite and Fryland Wood Outdoor Centre.
A key attraction of Pinewood is that hire is for the exclusive use of the site, which means that Groups can plan and deliver their activities and camps without disturbance from other users.
The entire site is a wonderful oasis of nature and tranquility that serves as an ideal venue for learning, reflection, team building and training.
Bears Wood Campsite
The campsite is set in 10 acres of ancient woodland leased from Croydon Council and offers a combination of large open group sites and smaller gladed patrol sites and is ideal for backwoods camping, wide games etc. There are a number of self-led activities available on site for you to book.
The site also has a purpose-built building with toilets, washing facilities and showers all with disabled accessibility, a large hall, small meeting room, fully equipped kitchen and an 8 roomed dormitory block that can sleep 30 young people plus a separate 6 bedded room for adults/over 18s only.
The site is open to Scout and Guide groups and available for hire by school and youth groups alike for meetings, training and overnight experiences.
We are constantly developing the site through the hard work of our non-resident campsite team and look forward to your visit.
