This site was set up and developed for a number of years by the ASGC (Association of Scout & Guide Centres). In late 2022, the ASGC closed down and used the remaining funds to keep this directory going for a number of years.
The site is now run by Pete Sturgess of Sturgess Internet Solutions who was a key volunteer with the ASGC.
Scout & Guide centres that were ASGC members have a free, unrestricted entry on this directory for a number of years. Additional centres, Scout, Guides or others are welcome to add their centres as new listings at the current annual costs.
This campsite directory is designed to make things easier for Scouters, Guiders and other Youth Leaders who are searching for a venue for their next camp or residential. It should also be very useful for D-of-E Expedition Leaders and many others who similarly need to seek out decent venues.
You can use the top level search bar to search for a centre in the area you are looking to visit and even use key words in the search so it is easy to find somewhere that offers “Sailing” near “Manchester” for example.
Alternatively, use the “Regions” drop down list from the top menu to browse for centres in a particular area.
Whereas we strive to list every site in the UK (and sometimes beyond) there may be some we have missed out. Please help us by adding any additional site we have missed by clicking on the “Add Listing” menu item or clicking Here.
Posting a review about a site you have visited recently could really help others when they come to choosing their next site. We publish all reviews, good or bad but we will ask people who post scathing reviews to ensure their reviews are constructively worded.
What will also help other visitors to centres is if they know about suitable local attractions that they can visit with their groups. It may be a local theme park, climbing wall or just an open park that is great for playing wide games. Please add via the drop down menu or click Here to add the places close to the sites you have visited.
There is a feature where the attraction owner can claim ownership of their entry and upgrade it to add more information, pictures and more to their listing.
